Project Intro
This family’s new home was plagued with a dining room dilemma: the formal dining room was the only dining space in their home. LH&H was called on to create an elevated everyday dining space that was simultaneously inviting and chic enough to host future dinner parties.
Design Challenges
When the family moved into their home the dining room was very stiff and uninviting. The ceiling was painted a dark chocolate brown while, the walls were a light shade of blue. The existing window treatments were brown silk and not at all the vibe of this family’s lifestyle. As a classic Ranch style home, the rooms all have a window looking into each other. This meant that the mood, color stories, and decor had to flow from one room to the next.
FINAL REsult
The family ended up with a bright and light-filled dining space that is approachably modern; allowing the interesting art, light fixtures, and furnishings to take center stage.
